New Delhi: Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday met the Service Chiefs and the members of the Armed Forces Pay Commission Cell to discuss the anomalies in the 7th Pay Commission of the Armed Forces.

Parrikar was briefed of all the issues and assured to resolve them at the earliest, to which the services expressed satisfaction at his response.
Earlier, overruling service chiefs, Parrikar has asked them to implement the 7th Pay Commission without any delay.
Meanwhile, a committee has been formed to look into various pay related anomalies arising out of the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission's recommendations.
The Air Chief retreated unceremoniously. Mr Parrikkar had in the past too promised the veterans a decent OROP but passed on a diluted version unilaterally. His voice got no value in the government.
