Our General Health : YOG / YOGA - S C Gupta.

Our General Health : YOG / YOGA - S C Gupta.

Yog is an ancient Indian Science to remain ever physically fit throughout for 100 years or more with the combination of simple breathing through Nose (NOSTRILS), Thoughts & Non-tiring simple exercises Not for Body building Western  vigorous exercises which may block natural easy flow of our blood.

When we are born, God or Paramatma sends us to this universe with a perfect body & sound mind but with our Greed or to eat more of all the free  eatables God Has created for us all the useful things Free but to satisfy our baser urges we tend to eat more or eat those UNHEALTHY things which we should avoid as  a result we gradually become Obese or Overweight or Suffer from Such dreaded diseases like Diabetes. If we eat Sugarcane or its juice there is no harm but if we eat it in the form of white sugar cleaned with harmful chemicals ,like Sulphur,  then it isaftcertainly harmful to our bodies.  To counter it God has created  Drum Stick which is a good source of Natural Calcium and its leaves counter excess sugar in our body or we can eat its leaves as its Soup or some exotic edible preparations like it. There are thousands of naturally grown things which are available to us all the time, like Awla & several Similar naturally Grown items like wheat which we can grow in our fields which we may call Organic grown items,

We can eat millet flour or various other flours or wheat grown naturally without added chemical fertilisers.

Similarly, we can eat some Greens or Salads in natural forms  and remain healthy by simple Yogic exercises, learnt under the supervision of  Trained Practicing YOG-GURU.Earlier Yoga training was available free from our Dedicated Sanyasis , a Natural Freely available OUR Ancient Science to remain Healthy without any medicines, like remaining healthy in Cold Winters without covering us with additional clothes because god has provided us Natural System through Nose through which we can Keep our body warm in winters & cool in summers like animals who do not require extra clothings during Change of whether.

Since our  Hindu  Philosophy is of "Vasudev Kutumbakam .... " our SELFLESS PRIME MINISTER, SHRI NARENDRA MODI HAS OPENED THIS HIDDEN NATURAL SCIENCE OF YOG OR YOGA TO EVERYONE THROUGH YOG-DIWAS DULY APPROVED BY WORLD BODY ON 21st JUNE, INSTEAD OF keeping Hidden from mankind ; thus we can Easily overcome even small illnesses like COMMON COLD & COUGH  which  may lead to major ILLNESSES and our Internal Vital Organs  Failures like Kidneys, or Livers  etc . God Has provided us with various Naturally Grown herbs in abundance for our Benefits like "PUNARNAVA". which overhauls our internal organs. Since I am Not a qualified person nor an expert on naturally available herbs etc for our Consumption, I believe if we add a little of "PUNARNAVA"while making our Morning Tea  it will keep overhauling our Internal organs.

Similarly, CONSTIPATION can Cause a Lot of Problems to Our Body, hence , out of Several Remedies which I have found is "AMALTAS KA GUDA" boil it , & drink a small cup after filtering it  as may suit Oneself or Milder Form "Psyllium Husk" , take its one spoonful with Hot milk.

I am Not an expert NOR I have undertaken any formal Education in this regard but I have been a practicing Yog/ Yoga man & have Learnt the Art of living Healthy; all my Internal Organs are free from any ailments at my age of 90 years( defacto 91years ) , I don't have to go to any Medical Doctors nor I have any Family Doctors excpt once a year for best full - Body Medical Check ups in the best Medical HOSPITAL. I have had A few very serious accidents near to death yet i walk daily about 3 kms in Fresh Clean  AIR. So I believe Everyone Can Follow  healthy life through Yog or YOGA.

Thanking you & best Regards,
S C Gupta.

Free antenatal care on 9th of every month – PTI

New Delhi: With one woman dying every 12 minutes due to pregnancy-related health issues in India, the government today launched a campaign to provide free and comprehensive antenatal care on the 9th day of every month.

Pregnant women will be provided free and comprehensive antenatal care on the 9th day of every month at government health care facilities.

Pregnant women will be provided free and comprehensive antenatal care on the 9th day of every month at government health care facilities.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA), pregnant women will be provided special antenatal check-up in their second or third trimester at government health care facilities.

These services include ultrasound, blood and urine tests, in addition to routine antenatal check-up. The primary objective of the programme is to identify and initiate follow-up actions on high-risk pregnancies to reduce maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR).

The campaign aims at providing free antenatal care to about three crore women across the country. 184 priority districts have been identified for greater focus on antenatal care.

The programme will rely on a network of private medical practitioners who can provide their services at a government hospital located close to them.

Keeping in view the objective, a web portal as well as a mobile application were inaugurated which will facilitate engagement with private sector doctors and encourage them to volunteer for the campaign.

Obstetricians, radiologists and physicians who wish to volunteer on the 9th of every month can register themselves on the website or the mobile application. Thereafter, the chief medical officer of the district to which the volunteer belongs to will get in touch with the doctor concerned.

At the launch of the programme, Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda said, "This isn't 'health for all' but 'health by all'. We want to make this into a movement.

"Our pace of reduction of infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate is better than the rest of the world.

However, it is not the time for us to be satisfied. We need to do more and provide better access to medical care in remote areas," he said.

Director General of Health Services Jagdish Prasad appealed to the doctors to spare a day every month for the cause.

1500 doctors from Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) have so far pledged their support to the programme, which is also backed by the Indian Medical Association.

According to Dr Gagan Gupta, Senior Health Specialist, UNICEF, "India has made very good progress, India has made better progress than the world. However, India has the second highest MMR in the world. In India, we have 167 maternal deaths per 1,00,000 births. 44,000 women die annually or 120 die per day because of pregnancy-related health issues."

"But these are preventable deaths which happen because of poor access to health facilities. The aim of the programme is to provide these facilities in the remote corners of the country and monitor women during their pregnancy and flag any health issues they might be suffering from," he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had first mooted such a scheme for expectant mothers during his 'Mann Ki Baat' radio broadcast on July 31.

Health – World Hepatitis Day

clip_image004

It is that time again, that another health related day is just around the corner - World Hepatitis Day celebrated on July 28th.

What is Hepatitis?

It is a disease, which causes inflammation of the liver. The name derived from the Greeks literally translates into that. It can range from simple implications to serious ones, from viral fever to even Death. Every disease is categorized as acute or chronic. Acute meaning the rabbit occurring suddenly with visible symptoms. Whereas chronic is the turtle from the story taking its time building up without usual symptoms.

Hepatitis is of 5 types- A, B, C, D and E. Coming back to July 28, why use the term celebrate, it's definitely not Hepatitis birthday. Yet, I used the term celebrate is because this year is crucial, as the WHO's theme for World Hepatitis Day is Elimination. To raise awareness about it, and educate people how to prevent and protect themselves against Hepatitis. Now one may wonder when we have so many other deadlier problems, like Ebola, AIDS, Brain Tumors, Cancer, Heart Problems etc. to consider, why to devote a day and strategy to eliminate hepatitis. That my dear reader is attributing to the fact that it causes around 1.4 million deaths every year. That alone is a sad fact. But hepatitis is also responsible as the cause for 70-80% liver cancer cases.

Hence the need. The main goal of this year's theme is to eliminate Viral Hepatitis as a global life endangering threat by 2030. Also, the first 6 years strategy is to bring about a reduction in global mortality by 10%, meaning lesser deaths, in numbers that figure is to bring it down to about 0.5 million. Another aspect is to bring the reduction of 30% in new cases of Hepatitis B and C. Essentially A, D and E are self-limiting, whereas C is the viral infection that can spread easily, open to epidemics.  Hepatitis B causes scarring of the liver known as Cirrhosis and also leads up to liver cancer.

That's why more emphasis on these categories. Lastly making treatment available to all those who need it. Almost 90% of hepatitis C cases can be cured provided the right treatment. So the theme is achievable, provided all local authorities, government, media, policy makers, influential people and all individuals, you and I make an effort to spread awareness. We can all contribute to make it better.

Women more addicted to smartphones than men: study

Seoul: Women are more addicted to smartphones than men, according to a new report which found that females spend four hours a day or longer using the device.
Women are more vulnerable to smartphone addiction than men.
Women are more vulnerable to smartphone addiction than men.
The report by Professor Chang Jae-yeon of Ajou University is based on a 2013 survey of 1,236 students from six colleges in South Korea. It was the first study to find that women are more prone to smartphone addiction than men.
The survey found that 52 per cent of the women used their smartphones for four hours a day or longer, compared to 29.4 per cent of men.
Nearly 23 per cent of women used their smartphones for six hours a day, while the figure was almost 11 per cent among men.
Women use smartphones mainly to access social networking websites, including Facebook and Instagram, using these services far more than just making calls, games and searches combined, 'The Korea Times' reported.
More than 37 per cent of women look at their phone screens while talking with others and on the move, while men use their smartphones only during break time, researchers found.
One in five women (20.1 per cent) have insecure feelings when they cannot use their smartphone, compared to 8.9 per cent of men, according to the survey.
This means that women's dependency is 10 per cent higher than men's, contrasting the widely-accepted opinion that men are more vulnerable to addictions of such substances and activities as alcohol, computer games and gambling.
The findings were published in the journal Public Health Reports.

Divine Nature Prakriti is Supreme Mother (Rig Veda)

In divine Nature Prakrti, there is not only non-violence of the strong but also violence of the right and virtue against, Pollution, Evil and Wrong.

Revive Vedas and conquer the conquerors through Vedic knowledge without fighting any War. Each follower of Sanatan Dharma needs to become Paramjot- carriers of divine Vedic light- knowledge.

Divine Nature Prakriti - the Supreme Mother

Dear Spiritual brothers and sisters,

In the Vedas, the Nature is described as  Prakirti and it is the manifestation of God and as such âSheâ is the divine Nature. Bhagavad-Gita says âIt is the supreme Lord who has assigned the task of creation of the universe to Prakriti and She performs this divine role under the supervision of the Supreme Reality (B.G 9-10)

It is mentioned in Vedas that Prakriti is that living power through which all the material things are begotten. Vedasrefer to it as Mahatava (the great subtle element or primordial matter of three gunas) that can create other five mahabhuta and a large number of 720 gross elements (bhutas).

Rig-Veda 3-55-14 describes Nature as

Mother Prakrti and Yajur Veda 18-30 describes Earth as adorable immortal benign Mother. Earth in the Vedas is Prithavi devi and it is widespread, very kind and gracious mother. She is soft as wool and is like a milch cow which does not kick (R.V.5-44-11, 2-44-11, 10-5-7 and 10-18- 10). Prakriti has invisible and subtle form and her gross form is the visible universe. Both visible gross Universe and invisible subtle Nature Prakrti are Thy Grandeur.

From the subtle divine Nature emerge atoms, sub atomic particles, waves, wavicles and these combine to form gross matter of five Mahabhuta and 720 Bhuta (elements).  Incidentally so far scientists have discovered less than 150 elements. Prakriti is  Daivi (divine), Aditi (infinite) and Devki (mother of 33 devas/devis âformless  Beings of Light). A few of these 33 formless devas/devis are Indra, Agni, Varun, Prithvi, Usha, Surya, Savitar and others.

There are no miracles and factoids in the  divine Nature. However, Prakrti functions as non-violent but tend to show its  wrath and even violence when under the vehement effect of tamasic gunas when we  create pollution of all kinds in Prakriti, universe and atmosphere and even in  society. This wrath and non-violence is more to bring ultimate peace and  serenity everywhere. It is therefore; in Prakrti, there is not only  non-violence of the strong but also violence of the right and virtue against
evil and wrong.

Also there is a prayer in Y.V.30-7 to 9, "O, God cast  aside the vile man who pollutes rivers, waters, air and society." Vile men  in the Vedas are bribe takers and givers, adulterates, exploiters, avarnas who  do not follow divine professions and violate cosmic laws of social and moral  order. Vile men are ever keen to make money out of the miseries of human  beings.

A few hymns in the Vedas particularly R.V  1-121- 1, Y.V 25-10, A.V 4-2-7 link creation  of Prakrti with Hiranya Garbha-cosmic  Golden Egg where Lord manifested in His splendour as the sole Lord of creation.  The cosmic word OM (Shabad Brahma) when created enormous cosmic energy,  it formed a cosmic golden Egg as Hiranya Garbha. This was the first stage of  energy getting converted into some kind of mass. Thus the eternal truth of  relationship of energy and mass and vice versa emerged. From the Creation till  date sum total of energy remains constant.

To help the human beings to perform their  duties, Prakrti in her divine role creates the Earth (Prithvi) as karma bhoomi for all of   us. This karma bhoomi is the milch cow, which moves very fast on its subtle axis (never   gets rusted) but does not kick. We only exist so long as we perform our allotted  duties otherwise, not to be occupied is the same thing as not to exist.   Bhagavad-Gita amongst many other sins mentions âidlenessâ as sin.

Through Prakrti He provides His stern and  permanent laws (Rta), gives lessons of non-violence of the strong,  transparency, truthfulness and vividness. Our Supreme Mother has conveyed  the message though Vedas âcreate social organization in the world based on Rta  (eternal laws) and Satya (truth and transparency) so that we look at each other  with friendly eyes (Y.V 36-18) and do not fight and deface the fair divine  Nature- your supreme Mother (R.V 5-4-10 and R.V 11-31-1). O Rudra Deva (being  of light) âMay we transplant ourselves with this  knowledge in our children and become immortal through them.â   For detailed description of Prakrti and  many other subjects like Vedic concept of Knowledge, Mosaic Ideal Society, Maya  (cosmic delusion), soul, spirit and manifested soul etc, kindly see Glimpses of  Vedic Metaphysics available for on-line reading at Website
http://www.sabhlokcity.com/metaphysics/ The book can also be accessed through google.com, yahoo.com, lulu.com and  search for the book or just Vedic Metaphysics.
Kindly render divine social  service and forward this message to other seekers of Vedic knowledge..

With kind regards,

Prem Sabhlok

P.S   Kindly feel free to improve this Vedic  Message strictly based on Veda mantra/riks/hymns.

Health benefits of Ajwain - Col Ronnie Burjor Mistry

It is a common sight in India to see mothers and grandmothers handing out ajwain seeds to family members who have an upset stomach. Carom seeds or Bishop's Weed also known as ajwain is a common herb found in Indian kitchens and is well known for properties that make it one of the most used home remedies. But other than being a good digestive aid, it has a number of other health benefits. Here are some of them:

1. Beat indigestion and flatulence: Ajwain is packed with tahymol. In fact it's the only plant in the world with such a high amount of thymol. This chemical is very effective in helping the stomach release gastric juices that speed up digestion. It is known to help in cases of indigestion, flatulence, nausea and relieve colicky pain in babies.
Tip: Boil a teaspoon of the seeds in a cup of water till it is reduced to half, strain and drink this water for instant relief. Another good remedy for nausea is to take a teaspoonful of the seed and wrap it in a beetle leaf. Place this at the back of the mouth and swallow the juice slowly till as long as the leaf is intact.
2.Improves digestion when your're pregnant or lactating: Due to its great anti-inflammatory and curative properties, ajwain is great for pregnant and lactating mothers. It helps to improve digestion, ward off constipation due to pregnancy and strengthens the muscles that make up the floor of the uterus. After pregnancy ajwain is known to heal the woman's body internally, reduce inflammation and helps maintain good circulation. In some cultures it is also believed to improve the production of milk in lactating mothers.
Tip: It is important that mothers-to-be do not eat too much of this seed. The seed is known to increase the heat causing pitta levels in the body and can cause problems with the pregnancy.

3. Relieves cough and asthma: The thymol, present in ajwain makes it a great local anaesthetic, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It is known to relieve congestion due to formation of phlegm even in severe cases.
Tip: Crush a few seeds of ajwain, mix it with jaggery and eat the mixture like a toffee. Another quick method is to tie it in a soft cloth and heat the bundle over a warm tawa. Apply this warm bundle over the chest to relieve congestion immediately.

4. Helps ease rheumatic and arthritic pain: Due to its anti-inflammatory and anaesthetic properties, ajwain is a good way to get rid of pain due to rheumatism and arthritis.
Tip: Try soaking your aching joints in a basin of warm water with a few seeds of ajwain. Alternatively you could crush the seed and apply the paste on the affected area for instant relief.

5. Instant relief from earache: Due to its antiseptic properties ajwain mixed with garlic and sesame oil provides instant relief from earache due to boils. If a person is suffering from earaches due to congestion, a good remedy is to heat ajwain with milk. Putting a few drops of either of the mixtures in the ear can help relieve pain and discomfort.

6. Keeps the heart healthy: Due to the presence of niacin and thymol along with other vitamins, ajwain is very good in maintaining heart health. It has properties that improve nerve impulses and overall circulation within the heart.
Tip: Have ajwain boiled in hot water on an empty stomach regularly to keep heart disease at bay.

7. Cures hiccups instantly: As mentioned earlier, ajwain has properties that help reduce inflammation and soothes irritated nerves. Because of this, it is a great remedy to stop hiccups instantly. Have a few raw ajwain seeds with a few sips of water and watch your hiccups vanish instantly.

8. Remedy for acidity: Since it helps improve digestion, ajwain also helps in relieving acidity. The thymol content helps release stomach acids which helps reduce the regurgitation of acids.
Tip: Mix one teaspoon of ajwain with one teaspoon of jeera (cumin) and boil them in a glass of water. The solution should have a golden colour. Drink this whenever there is an attack of acidity for instant relief.

9. Relieves pain due to migraines: Sniffing the fumes of ajwain or applying its paste on the head helps relieve the pain due to migraines. When the seed is burned or crushed into a poultice, it releases its essential oils high in thymol content, this gives it a pain relieving effect.
