Mr prime minister,

Once again The poor jawans i.e personnel below officer rank ( PBORS )of Armed forces have been betrayed with in 7th pay commission. The leg has been hit on the stomach of the poor soldiers, and a knife has been stabbed into the back of the poor jawans. And. Commissioned officer's pay has been hiked from 2.57 times to 2.67 times at the cost of X-Gp pay of the poor jawans. Poor jawans have been cheated again. The X-Gp PAY has been separated from the commutation into their pension.

Officers settled themselves for pay in multiples of 2.67 and 2.57 for men who are already getting a lesser pay. Shameful act of betrayal. Fixation of Military Service Pay (MSP) turned out to be another joke. Officers who enjoys all facilities and luxuries wherever they go, will get 15000+ per month as MSP. The soldiers who are the first line of defence facing bullets gets a meager 5200 per month as a monetary compensation for the hardships they suffer. This is when the non-combatant MNS have bagged an MSP of 10480/- !!!

If the basis of this remuneration is supposedly the complexity, uncertainty and dangers involved in military jobs, how is an officer's job more complex than that of a soldier? How is an MNS (nurse) working comfortably in a hospital, more stressed than a soldier who is ordered to do duty in extreme climates, regardless of hours, comforts and safety? Officers have systematically kept all facilities with themselves.

There are never ending stories of struggle for the PBOR. But the very people who are supposed to take the matter to the highest level showed middle finger to the subordinates. It will hit the morale of Defence as a whole am sure. This betrayal can not be forgiven. The discrimination and high headedness of Officers in armed forces has to put to an end.

And why it is so happening again and again in the pay commission , why the poor soldiers I.e PBORs are being cheated in every pay commission ? It is because there is no one or representatives of PBORS to talk to the Govt on the issue of anomalies in their pay & service conditions. The commissioned officers the so called representatives of PBORS I.e jawans , so called supposed guardians of PBOR's put their interests first before the govt, The PAY COMMISSION , OR ANY COMMITTEE constituted for the purpose and the interests of PBORS are thrown far away by these , greedy, selfish commissioned officer. Same has been repeated again and poor jawans , poor PBORs has been cheated by all the three top Brasses of the Armed forces and their subordinates commissioned officers. Because the mindsets of these commissioned rank continues to be of colonial rule , considering the jawans as their slaves.

Is so the mindsets of the people sitting in the govt also , Mr Prime minister ?

If not so why the PBORS are being cheated time and again in the Pay commission?

Ultimately who is responsible for this debacle with respect to 7th CPC implementation so late ? Who made it to be so late ? Who are behind this? What were their objectives ? And what they got ?

And WHAT DID THE PBORS GOT FROM THIS EXERCISE OF DELAY OF 7TH CPC.

Answer is nothing , instead this will affect their pay,pension , gratuity and leave encashment etc and bring their morale down while performing their duty.

On whose instance 7th pay commission has been delayed ?

And by now what has been achieved by delaying it?

Answer is , the demands of increasing the pay from 2.57 to 2.67 of commissioned officers has been fulfilled at the cost of X-Gp pay of poor JAWANS , therby preventing the jawans or PBORS from pensionery benefits and reducing their pension, gratuity, leave encashment etc.

Instead the govt should not have attempted to bring the parity in the pay and salary of the officers , and also the parity in the pension of all the pensioners at the cost of X-Pay of the poor soldiers. But the govt has befooled the the poor jawans and very quietly betrayed them again. 

This is not justified MR PRIME MINISTER. This is irrational , arbitrary to the govt policy of soldiers welfare.

Big question is Why the govt is hell bent upon to cause this sort of discrimination time and again in the Pay commission?

The govt has stabbed in the back of PBORS, And they have hit the on the stomach of poor jawans.

This is what the govt is doing ? Mr Prime minister. 

Does the Govt only acts upon the advice and suggestions presented by all the three Brasses of Armed forces and the kind of pressure they exert upon the govt?

If so is not the case then why the govt has hit the leg on the stomach of poor jawans ?

And why the govt accepted the demands of the commissioned officers to hike their pay from 2.57 to 2.67 times that too at the cost of X-Gp Pay cut of poor jawans ????

Now all the three Chiefs are silent . WHY ? WHY?? WHY ???

THIS SILENCE SPEAKS A LOT , MR Prime minister.

Is it not the conspiracy of all the three Chiefs , to get their pay hiked from 2.57 to 2.67 times at cost of X- Gp Pay cut of poor jawans ?

At least your govt should have realised the issues of their pay , allowances , their demands of equal MILITARY SERVICE PAY, to all irrespective of their rank. But the govt has not given any heed to the issues of PBORS , instead the govt has increased the pay and salaries of the commissioned officers ? 

Why this discrimination of poor soldiers Mr Prime minister ? And till when ?

The attitude of the govt has badly affected the morale of the PBORS, placed on duty of securing the borders of the country.

I, therefore request you Mr Prime minister to equalise the Military service pay (MSP) to all irrespective of any rank and also to include the X-Gp pay for the purpose of commutation into their pension and pensionery benefits so as to boost their morale of the PBORs at hand.

A desperate India undertook ‘Shuddhi Yatra’ to end corruption: PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Addressing the nation on New Year's Eve on the impact of demonetisation and the roadmap ahead for the economy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India has gone through a massive cleansing process and purification drive (Shuddhi Yatra).

In a 43-minute-long address to the nation, he said the citizens of the country were desperate to break free of corruption, but had never been given a chance to do so earlier, and had in fact gotten used to the idea of offering extra money to get their jobs done.

Prime Minister Modi said India has set a new example for the world through this 50-day-long demonetisation exercise, adding that their commitment and discipline to tackle the cash crunch would be a living example for generations to come.

"This is the first instance in India's history when the government and the people have fought shoulder to shoulder. I got thousands of letters from the people who shared their pain, but they reaffirmed their resolve to stick with the process to root out corruption and black money," he said.

He further stated that "125 crore Indians have proved that they are willing to wait in line at banks, but do not wish to be even one step behind in the drive against corruption."

He said that what would me most surprising to a majority of the citizens would be that, "Just 24 lakh Indians had admitted to having an income of more than Rs.10 lakhs,", which was indicative of the very high level of tax evasion being perpetrated by those not abiding by the law.

Expressing confidence that the New Year would see lesser queues outside banks and things returning to normal, Prime Minister Modi said, "Banks have never before seen this sort of influx of cash", and he would like to see personnel of these institutions focusing on helping the middle class and the poor.

He said that the notes ban has seriously impacted black money and terror-financing.

PM Modi had last addressed the nation on November 8, when he suddenly abolished 500 and 1,000 rupee notes in a decision aimed at combating corruption and black or undeclared money.

The Prime Minister's move took out 86 per cent of the money in circulation and he had requested people to allow him 50 days to ease the cash crunch that followed, promising that the "short term pain" would be followed by long-term gain."

A deadline to exchange old notes at banks ended yesterday (Friday, December 30.)

As part of the demonetisation drive, how much money can be withdrawn from ATMs and banks will remain controlled for now. Starting tomorrow (January1), the daily limit on ATM withdrawals will go up to Rs. 4,500 rupees from Rs. 2,500, but the weekly cap on withdrawals from bank accounts stays capped at Rs. 24,000 rupees. The Reserve Bank of India has not indicated when the limits will be relaxed or removed.

The opposition united in attacking him for failing to anticipate how hard the notes ban would affect people, particularly in rural India where banks are tough to access.

While cash shortages have eased somewhat, bankers and analysts said the situation is far from normal and could last at least another six months. They said the move could hit economic growth and lead to job losses and a drop in demand for goods. The government has refuted these predictions.

· Home loans for poor and middle class of upto Rs nine lakh to get four percent exemption on interest and those upto Rs 12 lakh to get three percent exemption under PM Awas Yojana. Also, on Rs. 20 lakh loan, two percent rebate will be given.

· Three crore kisan credit cards will be converted to Rupay cards. Also, 60 days of interest will be given and credit to their accounts.

· For Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), increase in credit guarantee for them to two crore from one crore. NBFC loans will also be covered under this scheme.

· Rs 6000 assistance will be provided to pregnant women for registration, delivery, vaccination, nutrition. The assistance money will be transferred to their account

· For senior citizens - on up to 7.5 lakh Rs deposit, yearly eight percent interest will be there for 10 years.

· The BHIM app was started and I urge people to make use of it. Let all scholars evaluate these policies of ours.

· In 1917, there was Gandhi's Champaran Satyagraha. After 100 years too, there is value for honesty in India. Today there is no Gandhi but his path is relevant.

· We have youth, ability, resources. Let's all come together and develop India.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged the nation to embrace digital payment methods to ensure that corruption and black money is rooted out of the country.

Briefing the media about Prime Minister Modi's assertion at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentary party meeting, Union Parliamentary Affairs Ministers Ananth Kumar said, "The Prime Minister appealed to the people of India that digital economy should be a way of life, it will be transparent and effective. The Prime Minister has said today is 'Bangla Vimochan Diwas'. The opposition had not demanded proof then but now it demands proof."

Quoting Prime Minister Modi, Kumar said earlier the government used to commit scams and the opposition used to oppose it, but the incumbent NDA regime has now started a mission to eradicate black money and the opposition is opposing it.

"We discussed the previous government's inability to create an SIT for black money. The Prime Minister said today, when we have started a movement to tackle black money, the opposition is creating hurdles. For the Congress, the party's interest is above the nation," he added.

The Winter Session of Parliament, which began on November 16, is headed for a whitewash as the opposition and government continue to lock horns over the November 8 demonetisation move.

Both sides have been claiming that it's the other side which is not allowing a debate in the Parliament.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Congress leaders gave a memorandum to Prime Minister Modi to demand relief for debt-ridden farmers.

Rs 5,500 cr paid as first OROP instalment: PM

Kinnaur: The first installment of nearly Rs 5,500 crore has been paid for implementing the OROP scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said while asserting that he has "fulfilled the promise" he made to ex-servicemen on the issue that has been hanging fire for the last 40 years.

"The OROP money will reach ex-servicemen in four installments. Nearly, Rs 5,500 crore has been paid as the first installment," PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister, while celebrating Diwali with army and ITBP personnel in Sumdo here, over 270 km from state capital Shimla, also lauded the role of the security force personnel guarding and protecting the country.

"Spent time with our courageous @ITBP_official & Army Jawans at Sumdo, Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh. Jai Jawan! Jai Hind!," he tweeted.

Earlier in his 'Mann ki Baat' programme on All India Radio, he saluted the valour of the armed forces and lauded their sacrifice while dedicating the festival of Diwali to them.

"The OROP was not about just Rs 200 or Rs 500 crore, but Rs 10,000 crore... After I became the PM, and decided that I had to do (implement) it, the entire government lost sleep over it... It was not possible for the government to pay in one go, so I requested the ex-servicemen to accept it in four instalments.

"The money will reach them in four installments. Nearly, Rs 5,500 crore has been paid as the first installment," Modi said.

He said the issue had been pending for "40 years" as certain people in the previous governments "did not know" about OROP (scheme), and therefore "only Rs 500 crore was allocated" for the purpose.

Modi also said that many people thought that if the scheme was not implemented, a section of "ex-servicemen would turn against the government".

The Prime Minister, on his way to Sumdo, met civilians at Himachal's Chango village, close to the Sino-Indian border.

"Made unscheduled stop at Chango village, close to Somdu, to wish people on Diwali. Was deeply touched by the impromptu reception & their joy," Modi tweeted.

"The Prime Minister spent time with ITBP jawans and personnel of Dogra Scouts of army at Sumdo on border of Kinnaur and Spiti, and distributed sweets to them," an official said.

Modi also met personnel of the General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF), a branch of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), entrusted with construction and maintenance of border roads and also executing the Rohtang Tunnel project, the official said.

After coming in power in 2014, the Prime Minister had celebrated his first Diwali with soldiers posted in Siachen, and in 2015, he celebrated it at the India-Pakistan border in Punjab.

India ratifies Paris climate change deal

New Delhi: India, the world's third largest emitter of greenhouse gases, formally joined the Paris agreement on tackling climate change on Sunday, taking the global pact a step nearer its enactment.

"India has deposited its instrument of ratification of the Paris Agreement with the United Nations," the U.N. said in a statement on Sunday.

The deal, agreed by nearly 200 countries in Paris last December, aims to slash greenhouse gas emissions by shifting away from fossil fuels to limit global warming to "well below" two degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial times.

But it needs to be formally ratified by countries representing at least 55 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions.

Next week the European Union is expected to complete the joint ratification of the climate pact by its 28 member states, which will be a major milestone as it would take approvals past the 55 percent mark and put the deal into effect ahead of the next round of climate talks in November, in Morocco.

The Paris agreement received a boost last month after the United States and China, the world's two biggest emitters, submitted their approvals to the United Nations.

Concerns about the participation of the United States loom over the deal but cementing the accord before the U.S. presidential election on Nov. 8 would make it harder to challenge if Republican Donald Trump, who has opposed it, beats Democrat Hillary Clinton, a strong supporter.

India had called for more work on the agreement ahead of its ratification on Sunday, with its environment ministry saying the Paris agreement laid a "broad framework" but detailed guidelines and rules were needed for it to become operational.

The ministry also criticised developed countries, saying their populations "live extravagant lifestyles with a high carbon footprint".

It said it was "very crucial" to advance key issues, including those related to finance and technology transfer, at the meeting in Marrakech next month, where India also plans to urge developed countries to do more.

"At Morocco, India will insist on a concrete roadmap from developed countries," the ministry said.

भीती दूर करा

जगभरातील असंख्य देशांमध्ये भारतीय समुदाय ताकदवान असून तेथे त्याने अन्य लोकांच्या मनातील भीती दूर करण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करणे गरजेचे आहे. आमच्या देशातील लोकांच्या बुद्धिमत्तेचा योग्य वापर झाल्यास सध्या निर्माण झालेले ‘ब्रेन ड्रेन’चे रूपांतर ‘ब्रेन गेन’ध्ये होईल असा विश्‍वासही मोदी यांनी व्यक्त केला. ज्या पद्धतीने धरणातील पाण्याचा विद्युतनिर्मितीसाठी वापर केला जातो त्याच प्रमाणे दोन कोटींपेक्षाही अधिक अनिवासी भारतीयांच्या शक्तीची भारतास प्रकाशमान होण्यासाठी गरज असल्याचे त्यांनी नमूद केले

लष्कर बोलत नाही, थेट पराक्रम करते!

नवी दिल्ली - उरीतील पाकिस्तानी दहशतवाद्यांच्या भ्याड हल्ल्यानंतर मौनात गेलेल्या केंद्र सरकारचे प्रमुख, पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी आज सलग दुसऱ्या दिवशी म्हणजे केरळातील सभेपाठोपाठ "आकाशवाणी” वरील “मन की बात” मधून उरी हल्ल्याचा उच्चार करत हल्ल्याला जबाबदार असणाऱ्यांना माफ करणार नाही, असे सांगितले. “लष्कर बोलत नाही, थेट पराक्रम करते”, असा अत्यंत सूचक इशारा मोदी यांनी शत्रूराष्ट्राला दिला.

“मन की बात” ला आज दोन वर्षे पूर्ण झाली. त्यानिमित्त “आकाशवाणी” ला पंतप्रधानांनी धन्यवाद दिले. मोदी यांनी काल कोझीकोडच्या जाहीर सभेत उरीतील 18 हुतात्मा जवानांचे बलिदान व्यर्थ जाणार नाही, असा विश्‍वास देशवासीयांना दिला होता. सत्तेवर येण्यापूर्वीचे मोदी यांची भाषा उरीतील हल्ल्यानंतर एकदम बदलून मवाळ झाल्याने शोकसंतप्त देशवासीयांमध्ये सखेद आश्‍चर्य व्यक्त होत आहे. जनतेचा आक्रोश “पीएमओ” पर्यंत पोचल्यानेच मोदींना उरी हल्ल्याचा सलग दोनदा जाहीर उच्चार करणे भाग पडल्याचे मानले जाते.

मोदींनी आजच्या कार्यक्रमाची सुरवातच उरी हल्ल्यातील 18 हुतात्म्यांना आदरांजली वाहून केली. या हल्ल्याबाबत पंतप्रधानांनी एकदा किमान तोंड तरी उघडावे, अशा प्रकारच्या सूचनांचा पाऊस "नरेंद्र मोदी व माय जीओव्ही ऍप‘वर पडला होता. त्या अनुषंगाने मोदी म्हणाले,  “आपली सेना शूर आहे व भारतात घुसखोरी करण्याचा प्रत्येक प्रयत्न ती हाणून पाडेल. राजकारण्यांना बोलण्याच्या अनेक संधी मिळतात; पण लष्कर बोलत नाही, तर फक्त पराक्रम करते.”

 
काश्‍मीरमधील अशांततेबाबत बोलताना सत्यपरिस्थिती काश्‍मिरी लोकांसमोर आल्याने त्या लोकांनाही शांतता हवी आहे, असा दावा केला. उरीतील हल्ल्यानंतर हर्षवर्धन या 11वीच्या विद्यार्थ्याने पाठवलेल्या पत्राचा उल्लेख मोदींनी केला. महात्मा गांधी स्वच्छता मोहिमेच्या द्विवर्षपूर्तीनिमित्त मोदींनी या मोहिमेची सुरवात चांगली झाल्याचे प्रशस्तीपत्र स्वतःच्या सरकारला दिले. दिल्लीतील रेस कोर्स रोडचे बारसे लोककल्याण मार्ग असे नुकतेच करण्यात आले. या नामबदलाचे ठाम समर्थन करताना पंतप्रधानांनी पंडित दीनदयाळ उपाध्याय यांचे नाव या नामबदलाशी जोडले.

रियो पॅराऑलिंपिक स्पर्धेत अपंग खेळाडूंनी केलेल्या भरीव कामगिरीची मोदींनी भरभरून स्तुती केली. अपंगत्वालाही पराभूत करणाऱ्या नगरच्या दीपा मलिक, एका तपानंतर दुसऱ्यांदा ऑलिंपिक सुवर्णपदक पटकावून वयावर मात करणारे देवेंद्र जांझरिया, 21 वर्षांचा एम. थंगवेलू या सुवर्णपदक विजेत्यांचे त्यांनी मुक्तपणे कौतुक केले.

PM Modi hits out at Pakistan after attack in Kashmir

Kozhikode: Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticised Pakistan on Saturday, accusing it of being an exporter of terrorism, and vowing to mount a global campaign to isolate it.

"People of Pakistan should question their leadership on why, when both countries gained freedom together, while India exports software, Pakistan exports terrorists," PM Modi said.

The comments follow the September 18 attack on an Indian army camp in Kashmir, which New Delhi blamed on Pakistan. The attack claimed the lives of 18 Indian soldiers, in the biggest blow to security forces in the disputed Himalayan region for 14 years.

"People of Pakistan should question their leadership on why, when both countries gained freedom together, while India exports software, Pakistan exports terrorists," Modi said.

India has long accused Pakistan of backing militant groups operating in disputed Kashmir as well as of sending fighters to other parts of the country to carry out acts of violence.

Pakistan denies the allegations and says India has not provided adequate proof to support its claims.

Modi was giving a speech at a meeting of his Bharatiya Janata Party, whose leaders have said there should be a strong response to the attack, which took place in Uri.

"India has and never will bow down in the face of terrorism," Modi said.

Some military experts have called for cross border strikes against militant camps in Pakistan-administered Kashmir in the wake of the latest attack.

But Pakistan has warned it will hit back against any Indian attack and the latest tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours are drawing concern.

India is likely holding back from major military action for fear of igniting a broader escalation, and may instead mount a diplomatic campaign against Pakistan, experts say.

कोझिकोड - ‘21 वे शतक आशियाचे असेल‘ हे कित्येक वर्षांपासून आपण ऐकत आहोत. हे सत्यात उतरण्यासाठी सर्व क्षमता येथे आहे. हे शतक आपले असेल, असे स्पष्ट संकेतही मिळत आहेत. यात आशियातील प्रत्येक देश स्वत:चे योगदान देण्यासाठी प्रयत्नही करत आहे. पण आशियात एक देश असा आहे, जो याच्या विरोधात काम करत आहे, पूर्ण आशियात रक्तरंजित होण्यासाठी आणि दहशतवादाची कटकारस्थाने रचण्यातच गुंग आहे.‘ असे म्हणत पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी ‘भारत दहशतवादासमोर कधीही झुकलेला नाही आणि यापुढेही झुकणार नाही‘, अशा शब्दांत पाकिस्तानला फटकारले आहे.
भारतीय जनता पक्षाची बैठक आज (शनिवार) येथे झाली. पंडित दीनदयाळ उपाध्याय यांच्या जन्मशताब्दीनिमित्त आयोजित कार्यक्रमामध्ये पंतप्रधान मोदी यांच्यासह भाजपचे अध्यक्ष अमित शहा, केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळातील बहुतांश मंत्री, भाजपशासित राज्यांचे मुख्यमंत्री उपस्थित होते. यावेळी बोलताना मोदी म्हणाले, "आशियामध्ये जिथे जिथे दहशतवादी हल्ले होत आहेत, ते सर्व याच देशाला गुन्हेगार मानत आहेत. फक्त भारतच नाही, हे सर्वच देशांचे मत आहे. अफगाणिस्तान, बांगलादेश किंवा शेजारचे सर्व देश असो, जगात कुठेही दहशतवादी हल्ल्याची बातमी येते, त्यानंतर अशीही बातमी येते की एकतर दहशतवादी या देशातून गेलेला असतो किंवा हल्ला झाल्यावर लादेनप्रमाणे त्याच देशात जाऊन आश्रय घेत असतो.‘

मोदी यांच्या भाषणातील ठळक मुद्दे :

• जगाच्या कुठल्याही देशामध्ये असलेल्या केरळी व्यक्तीकडे आदरानेच पाहिले जाते. हा या भूमीचा वारसा, संस्कार आहे. काही दिवसांपूर्वी आखाती देशांमध्ये जाण्याचा योग आला होता. आखाती देशांमधील भारतीयांमध्ये केरळी नागरिकच सर्वाधिक आहेत. आखाती देशांमध्ये कुणालाही भेटले, की ते तेथील भारतीयांचे, केरळी नागरिकांचे कौतुक करतात. ते ऐकून अभिमान वाटतो.

• याच मैदानावर काही वर्षांपूर्वी मी एका राजकीय सभेत भाषण केले होते. हेलिपॅडपासून इथपर्यंत रस्ताभर उत्साही लोकांची गर्दीच गर्दी दिसली. पन्नास वर्षांपूर्वी पंडित दीनदयाळ उपाध्यय यांची भारतीय जनसंघाच्या अध्यक्षपदी निवड झाली होती. पन्नास वर्षांमध्येच या संघातून स्थापन झालेला राजकीय पक्ष या लोकशाहीतील सर्वांत ताकदवाद पक्ष बनला आणि सत्ता स्थापन करून देशाची सेवा करू लागला आहे. महात्मा गांधी, पंडित दीनदयाळ उपाध्याय आणि राम मनोहर लोहिया यांची विचारसरणी आणि संस्कार आजही भारतीय राजकारणामध्ये दिसून येतात.

• पंतप्रधान म्हणून संसदेच्या सेंट्रल हॉलमध्ये केलेल्या माझ्या पहिल्या भाषणामध्ये मी म्हटले होते, की हे सरकार गरिबांसाठी काम करेल. या शब्दांमागे महात्मा गांधी आणि पंडित दीनदयाळ उपाध्याय यांची प्रेरणा होती. सत्तेच्या राजकारणामध्ये येण्यापूर्वी मी अनेक वर्षे संघटनेचे काम केले आहे. केरळमधील पक्षाच्या कार्यकर्त्यांनी पक्षाच्या विचारसरणीसाठी सातत्याने संघर्ष केला आहे. केरळमध्ये पक्षाला कधीही सत्ता मिळाली नाही; तरीही कार्यकर्त्यांनी संघर्ष चालूच ठेवला.

• केरळमधील कार्यकर्ते हे देशातील सर्व कार्यकर्त्यांसाठी प्रेरणादायक आहेत. तुम्ही जी तपस्या केली आहे, यातना सहन केल्या आहेत, हे बलिदान कधीही वाया जाणार नाही, केरळमध्ये भाजपची सत्ता येईल आणि हाच पक्ष राज्याला विकासाच्या वाटेवर घेऊन जाईल. देशातील अव्वल क्रमांकाचे राज्य बनण्याची केरळमध्ये क्षमता आहे. हे साध्य करण्यासाठी केंद्रातील "एनडीए‘चे सरकार आणि भाजप पूर्ण मदत करेल. ‘सबका साथ, सबका विकास‘ हाच विकासाचा मंत्र घेऊन देश विकासाच्या मार्गावर आहे. मच्छिमार असो वा उद्योजक, सर्वांना नवी संधी आणि नवी ताकद देण्यासाठी केंद्र सरकार सज्ज आहे.

• उरीतील हल्ल्यानंतर पूर्ण देशामध्ये एक संतापाची लाट आहे. शेजारी देशाचे ‘निर्यात‘ केलेल्या दहशतवाद्यांनी उरीत हल्ला केला आणि आमचे 18 जवान हुतात्मा झाले. हा देश ही गोष्ट कधीही विसरणार नाही. गेल्या काही महिन्यांत 17 वेळा वेगवेगळ्या गटांनी भारतात घुसण्याचे प्रयत्न केले. पण आपल्या शूर जवानांनी हे 17 प्रयत्न उधळून लावले. 110 हल्लेखोरांना तिथेच कंठस्थान घालण्यात आले. शेजारी देश एकाच कटात यशस्वी झाला आणि आपले 18 जवान हुतात्मा झाले. त्यांचे सर्व प्रयत्न यशस्वी झाले असते तर देशासमोर किती मोठे संकट उभे ठाकले असते, याची जाणीव असायला हवी. देशातीला सर्व नागरिकांना भारतीय लष्कराचा अभिमान आहे. देशातील सर्व सुरक्षा दलांचे जवान दहशतवादाविरोधातील लढाई जिंकत आहेत. ‘अत्याधुनिक शस्त्रे‘ हेच एकमेव कारण नाही. देशाचे मनोधैर्य हेदेखील दहशतवादाविरोधातील लढाईल सैन्य दलांचे सामर्थ्य असते. हे सामर्थ्य आपल्या सुरक्षा दलांकडे आहे.

• हजारो वर्षे भारताबरोबर आम्ही लढू‘ अशा वल्गना त्या देशाचे नेते करत असत. पण काळाच्या ओघात ते कुठे नष्ट झाले, त्यांनाही कळाले नाही. त्या देशाचे आजचे नेते दहशतवाद्यांनी लिहून दिलेले भाषण वाचून दाखवत काश्‍मीरचे रडगाणे गात आहेत. मी इथून आज पाकिस्तानच्या जनतेशी बोलू इच्छितो. जगाला पाकिस्तानकडून कुठलीही अपेक्षा राहिलेली नाही. पाकिस्तानच्या जनतेला पुन्हा एकदा आठवण करून देऊ इच्छितो, की 1947 पूर्वी तुमचे पूर्वजही याच देशाला स्वत:चा देश मानत होते. पाकिस्तानच्या जनतेने जरा स्वत:च्या नेत्यांना विचारावे.. पूर्व बंगालही तुमच्याकडे होते.. त्याला तर सांभाळू शकलेले नाही.. तुम्ही सिंध प्रांताला, बलुचिस्तानला, गिलगिटलाही सांभाळू शकत नाही आणि आता काश्‍मीरच्या वल्गना करत तुम्हाला मूर्ख बनवत आहेत. जे तुमच्या हातात आहे, ते तरी आधी सांभाळून दाखवा..! भारत आणि पाकिस्तान दोन्ही एकाच वेळी स्वतंत्र झाले. पण भारत जगामध्ये सॉफ्टवेअरची निर्यात करतो आणि पाकिस्तान दहशतवादाची निर्यात करत आहे.. याचे कारण काय, हे पाकिस्तानच्या जनतेने त्यांच्या राज्यकर्त्यांना विचारायला हवे. तुम्हाला मूर्ख बनविण्यासाठी ‘भारताशी हजारो वर्षे युद्ध करण्याच्या वल्गना करत होते. आज मी तुमचे हे आव्हान स्वीकारतो. लढायचेच असेल, तर गरीबीच्या विरोधात लढाई करू.. बघू.. कोणता देश सर्वांत आधी स्वत:च्या देशातील गरीबी दूर करेल. पाकिस्तानच्या जनतेलाही हे आवडेल.. बेरोजगारी दूर करण्याची लढाई करू.. मग बघू, भारत जिंकतो की पाकिस्तान..! नवजात शिशू भारतामध्येही जीव गमावतात आणि पाकिस्तानमध्येही.. या नवजात बालकांना आणि त्यांच्या मातांना वाचवण्यासाठीची लढाई लढू.. मग बघू भारत जिंकतो की पाकिस्तान..!

Make this change and we will recognize your leadership

Lifetime pension accorded for one tenure of politicians - is gross injustice to the rest of the government servants who have to put in a minimum of 20 years of service, this is a drain on the public exchequer.

No one has been able to explain to me why young men &  women who serve in the Military for 20 years or more, risking their lives protecting your freedom only get 50% of their pay on retirement & Short Service Commissioned Officers who also risk their life for a term varying from 5-14 yrs - get ZERO retirement benefits after their assignment.

While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these very same men &  women, receive Full-Pay on retirement after serving just one term of 5 yrs. Does it make any sense ?   PM SIR, CHANGE THIS AND THE NATION SHALL BE GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID.

Abolish, politician pension for life. As such they are above averagely rich people.   Just like you motivated common people to give up subsidy, motivate MPs to give up many perks granted unanimously by themselves, but undeservingly exorbitant, including pension.  May we hope it starts with yourself."

पाकव्याप्त काश्मीर भारताचाच भाग- पंतप्रधान

नवी दिल्ली- काश्मीरमध्ये अशांतता ही पाकिस्तान पुरस्कृत दहशतवादामुळे आहे. दहशतवादाशी कठोरपणे सामना करू, तसेच पाकव्याप्त काश्मीर हा भारताचा भाग आहे, असे पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी ठणकावून सांगितले. मोदी म्हणाले, "कायद्याच्या राज्याशी भारताची असलेली निष्ठा ही कमजोरी आहे असे विरोधी शक्तींनी समजू नये. पाकव्याप्त काश्मीरमधील लोकांना सहभागी केल्याशिवाय काश्मीरचा मुद्दा सोडविला जाऊ शकत नाही. पाकव्याप्त काश्मीरचे जे लोक दुसरीकडे राहत आहेत त्यांनाही चर्चेत सहभागी करणे आवश्यक आहे." काश्मीरच्या सद्यस्थितीवर विचार करण्यासाठी येथे झालेल्या सर्वपक्षीय बैठकीच्या समारोपावेळी मोदी यांनी भाषण केले. त्यावेळी ते म्हणाले की, संविधानाच्या मूलभूत सिद्धांतांनुसार काश्मीर प्रश्नावर शांततापूर्वक आणि स्थायी स्वरुपाचा तोडगा काढण्यासाठी सरकार प्रतिबद्ध आहे. त्यासाठी माजी पंतप्रधान अटलबिहारी वाजपेयी यांनी दाखविलेल्या मार्गावरून आम्ही जात आहोत.

PM asks young IAS officers to be sensitive to surroundings

New Delhi: Be sensitive to the circumstances and surroundings to be able to effectively connect with the people.

This was the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to new IAS officers whose batch met him here today.

Addressing the IAS officers of the 2014 batch at the inaugural session of Assistant Secretaries, he also asked them to work towards technology upgradation in the working of the government.

He told them that they had a great opportunity to enhance their skills and learning, far beyond what they had imbibed during their training so far.

Modi asked the young officers to use the next three months to add value to their own skill-sets, and also attempt to add value to the working of the departments they had been attached with, a PMO statement said.

The Prime Minister urged the officers not to be overawed by hierarchy and to be frank and fearless in their interaction with senior officers during the next three months of their attachment as Assistant Secretaries to the Union Government, the statement said.

Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh and senior government officers were present on the occasion.

Black money window: I-T department creates special tab on website

New Delhi: The Income Tax department has created a special zone on its official website to showcase country-wide activities being done by it to popularise the one-time black money compliance window that will complete its first month in operation soon.

A 'dashboard' has been hosted on the official web portal of the department --www.Incometaxindia.Gov.In-- and it chronicles all activities initiated by the department, the Central Board of Direct Taxes and the Finance Ministry to make the Income Declaration Scheme (IDS) successful.

The four-month IDS got operational on June 1 and will be in force till September 30. The declarant will have to pay a total of 45 per cent in tax and penalty by November this year and the government has ensured that such entities will have immunity from prosecution.

Under the new tab on the website, the department has also put messages and speeches made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and other senior officials in connection with the IDS, even as it goes on to chronicle news stories and tally of sessions being held by taxmen across the country to popularise the scheme.

IDS was announced by the government with an aim to flush out black money from the domestic economy.

The IDS will apply to undisclosed income whether in the form of investment in assets or otherwise, pertaining to financial year 2015-16 or earlier.

Declarations under IDS can either be made online on the official e-filing website of the tax department or before various regional Principal Commissioners of I-T department.

PM Modi lauds retired Government employee for donating one-third pension to Swachh Bharat Kosh

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lauded retired government employee Chandrakant Kulkarni for donating one-third of his pension to the Swachh Bharat Kosh.

"Retired government employee Chandrakant Kulkarni is giving almost a third of his pension for Swachh Bharat,” PM Modi said in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme.

"A retired government employee giving almost a third of his pension for a Swachh Bharat. What can be a greater inspiration?" he said while addressing the nation in the 21st edition of his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme.

Kulkarni yesterday presented 52 post-dated cheques, worth Rs. 2,60,000 towards the Swachh Bharat Kosh to Prime Minister Modi during the latter's visit to Pune.

Kulkarni donated almost a third of his pension from June 2015 to Sept 2019 to the Swachh Bharat Kosh.

The Swachh Bharat Kosh has been set up by the government to facilitate channelization of philanthropic contributions and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds towards the Clean India Campaign as individuals and philanthropists expressed interest in contributing to efforts to achieve the objective of ' Swachh Bharat' by the year 2019.

Cooperation Organization;

Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen
Almost a year ago, I started my journey of Central Asian countries from Tashkent.
I still remember the warmth and generous welcome of Excellency Karimov and Uzbek people.
Let me join others in thanking you Excellency Karimov for you hospitality and excellent arrangements for this meeting.
At the Ufa Summit last year, conducted so ably by President Putin, the SCO leaders had accepted India as its full member.
It was a landmark in India's engagement with SCO.
Later today, we will sign the Memorandum of Obligations.
With this we would formalize the process of India's membership of the SCO.
And, as a logical extension India's age old ties with the region, one-sixth of humanity will join the family of SCO.
We are indeed grateful to the SCO Member States and its leaders for their overwhelming support for India’s membership of the SCO.
I also welcome Pakistan as the new member of the SCO and Belarus as a first time Observer to this body.
Excellencies,
India is not new to the region. Our historic linkages with you are centuries old. And, its just not geography that connects us. Our societies have been enriched by links of culture, cusine and commerce.
They form the bed rock of our modern day relationships with Russia, China and the countries of Central Asia.
Excellencies,
With India as its full member, SCO boundaries would stretch from the Pacific to Europe; and from the Arctic to the Indian Ocean.
We would represent forty percent of humanity and over a billion youth.
To this group, India brings principles that are in tune with the philosophies of the SCO.
India has always enjoyed good relations with the Eurasian land mass.
We also share global goals of stability, security and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific.
India would no doubt benefit from SCO's strengths in energy, natural resources and industry.
In turn, India's strong economy and its vast market could drive economic growth in the SCO region.
India's capacities in trade, investments, information and communication technology, Space, S&T, agriculture, health care, small and medium scale industry can bring wide spread economic benefit to the SCO countries.
We can partner to develop human resources and institutional capacities in the region.
Since our priorities match, our development experiences would be relevant to your national needs.
Excellencies,
The interdependent world of twenty-first century is full of economic opportunities.
It also faces geo-political complexities and security challenges.
And, connectivity among the countries of the region is crucial to our economic prosperity.
And, not just physical connectivity.
What we need is seamless flow of goods, services, capital and people among ourselves.
But, that alone is not enough.
Our region also needs to nurture strong rail, road and air links with the rest of the world.
Within SCO, India will be a productive partner in building strong trade, transport, energy, digital and people to people links.
Our decision to join the international North South Transport Corridor, the Chabahar Agreement, and Ashgabat Agreement reflects this desire and intent.
Excellencies,
India's membership of SCO would contribute to region's prosperity. It would also strengthen its security. Our partnership will protect our societies from the threats of radical ideologies of hate, violence and terror.
India will unite with SCO countries to work towards this goal. And, we will adopt zero tolerance and a comprehensive approach in fighting terrorism at all levels.
With the same goal in sight, a stable, independent and peaceful Afghanistan is not just a sincere desire of each Afghan. It is also necessary for greater security and stability in the SCO region.
In conclusion Mr. Chairman,
I am confident that India's engagement with all SCO members will help us build a region:
Which is an engine of economic growth for the world;Is more stable and secure internally; and Strongly connected with other geographies.

Next year, we look forward to attending SCO meeting in Astana, as equal partners.
I wish all success to Kazhakstan in their Chairmanship of SCO in 2017.

Remove fear of harassment among taxpayers, PM tells CBDT, CBEC officials

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asked the CBDT and CBEC officials to remove fear of harassment from the minds of taxpayers and focus on five pillars of administration -- revenue, accountability, probity, information and digitisation (RAPID).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today at Rajasva Gyan Sangam.

Inaugurating the two-day Rajasva Gyan Sangam here, Prime Minister asked the officials to "move towards digitisation" in a bid to make tax administration better and efficient and work towards bridging the "trust deficit".

Modi also suggested that officials should endeavour to remove "fear of harassment" from the minds of assesses and emphasised that their behaviour should be "soft and sober", Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha said while briefing reporters about the meeting.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and senior tax administrators of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) are participating in the two-day annual conference.

Prime Minister also underlined the need for increasing the number of tax payers to 10 crore from 5.43 crore, at present.

Cabinet okays raising retirement age of Central Health Service doctors to 65

New Delhi: To retain the talent pool of health specialists in Central Health Service (CHS), the Cabinet today gave its nod to raise the superannuation age of doctors from the present 62 to 65 years, a move which will help in effective implementation of national health programmes.

The Union Cabinet today approved a proposal to raise the retirement age of Central Health Service doctors to 65.

Besides, it will help improve patient care and academic activities, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.

There are about 4,000 doctors under Central Health Service, according to the Health Ministry.

"The Union Cabinet has given its approval for enhancement of the age of superannuation of non-teaching and public health specialists of CHS from 62 years to 65 years and doctors of General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) sub-cadre of CHS to 65 years," an official statement said.

However, the government said this move would not have any financial implication as the vacant posts had to be filled up quickly to ensure continuity of patient care.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier said the central government had decided to enhance superannuation age of all doctors in Central Health Service to 65 years with effect from May 31, 2016.

Citing shortage of doctors, Modi had at a rally in Saharanpur on May 26 announced raising the retirement age.

"The target group would be officers of non-teaching, public health and GDMO sub-cadres of CHS. The decision would help in better patient care, proper academic activities in Medical colleges as also in effective implementation of national health programmes for delivery of health care services," the statement said.

The age of superannuation in respect of all four sub-cadres of CHS -- teaching, non-teaching, public health and GDMO -- was 60 years prior to 2006.

The age of superannuation of the three specialists sub-cadres -- teaching, non-teaching and public health) -- was enhanced in 2006 from 60 to 62 years.

The age of superannuation of teaching sub-cadre was further enhanced from 62 to 65 years with the approval of the Cabinet in June, 2008 in view of huge shortfall of teaching specialists.

However, it was limited to teaching specialists and not those occupying administrative positions, the statement said.

Modi wants deeper US-India security relationship

Washington: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a closer security relationship between his country and the United States on Wednesday, in an address to the US Congress stressing the importance of warming ties between the two countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today acknowledges applause as he arrives to address a joint meeting of Congress in the House Chamber on Capitol Hill in Washington.

He dedicated much of the speech to the importance of fighting terrorism, thanking Congress for US support after a Pakistan-based military group's rampage in Mumbai killed 166 people in 2008.

"The fight against terrorism has to be fought at many levels. And the traditional tools of military, intelligence or diplomacy alone would not be able to win this fight," Modi told a rare joint meeting of the Senate and House of Representatives.

"We have both lost civilians and soldiers in combating it. The need of the hour is for us to deepen our security cooperation," Modi said.

He leavened the speech to lawmakers, the first such address by an international leader since Pope Francis' in September, with jokes about Congress' bitter partisan divide and yoga. But Modi used it to make serious points about India's neighbor and arch-rival Pakistan and regional concerns about Chinese expansionism.

"I commend the members of the US Congress for sending a clear message to those who preach and practice terrorism for political gains," he said, not mentioning either country by name.

WARM WASHINGTON WELCOME

Modi is on the US. leg of an international tour. On Tuesday, he met with President Barack Obama at the White House, where the two leaders said India agreed to work toward joining the Paris Agreement on climate change this year and discussed security and cybersecurity issues.

In a speech interrupted by cheers and at least eight standing ovations, Modi said deeper US-Indian security cooperation should isolate anyone who harbors, supports or sponsors terrorists.

Although he did not mention Pakistan, that line was greeted with applause from the US lawmakers, many of whom are increasingly frustrated with what they see as Islamabad's failure to crack down on militants behind attacks on American troops in Afghanistan.

Modi also stressed that India is committed to helping rebuild a peaceful and stable Afghanistan, even as he said he considers terrorism the biggest threat there and elsewhere in South Asia.

At a time of heightened regional tensions over China's assertive pursuit of territory in the South China Sea, Modi said a stronger US-India partnership could boost peace and prosperity "from Asia to Africa and from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific." He did not mention China.

"It can also help ensure security of the sea lanes and commerce and freedom of navigation on seas," Modi added.

Democrats leaped to their feet when Modi referred to the recent climate change summit, in a discussion of the importance of renewable energy. But Republicans in the House chamber remained seated, reflecting the US political divide over the issue.

House Speaker Paul Ryan greeted Modi at his office before his speech. After the Indian leader's remarks, he attended lunch with congressional leaders and a reception with members of the House Foreign Affairs and Senate Foreign Relations committees.
