Media false hue & cry of 7th CPC. Col Lamba

7th CPC Wage Hike
Hue &  cry by media + Historic Pay Commission by FM

Open challenge to the  best of economist to prove that  Media cry for Bonanza & FM historic budget is correct .

Kindly show me where is rise & hefty pay packets .

Let us see one by one

Actually, the salary of Rs 7,000 and Rs 18,000 are not comparable.  Rs 7,000 basic salary, which was fixed 10 years ago and currently applicable with the dearness allowance added on, is Rs 15,750 (Rs 7,000 basic plus 125 per cent DA). In the salary of Rs 18,000 now announced, the DA is subsumed. Thus, a more accurate comparison would be the present salary of Rs 15,750 and the new salary of Rs 18,000.

Now let us take if a sum of Rs 7000 is put in FD for 1O years @ 9% prevailing  rate at that time .The amount would have become
Rs 17159.50
So hike in 10 year is just
Rs 841.50 or Rs 71/ per year.
Gain 841.50/18000= %

Will it off set inflation + cess + hikes in petrol+fees+ Roti Kapada Makkan extra.

7)Prices of pulses have increased by up to 41% in retail markets during the last one year on decline in production due to account of adverse weather conditions, the government on Friday informed Parliament.

"Over the last one year, the increase in retail prices of major pulses have ranged between 12.63% to 40.73%. The main reason for the sharp increase in prices of pulses is a decline in production on account of adverse weather conditions," Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said in a written reply

The All India daily average retail price of moong dal has increased by 12.63% to Rs 98.47 per kg as of July 20, compared with Rs 87.43 per kg on July 18, 2014.

Retail prices of most pulses have increased due to supply crunch in the wake of a decline in domestic production by nearly two million tonnes in 2014-15 crop year (July-June) on account of unfavourable weather conditions earlier this year.
