82nd DAY OF RHS AT JANTAR-MANTAR FOR OROP
Relay Hunger Strike
Today, on the 82nd day of the agitation, 34 Ex-servicemen and five Veer Narees sat on Relay Hunger Strike at Jantar Mantar. Ex-servicemen from various states continue to participate in the Relay Hunger Strike(RHS).
In addition RHS entered the 78th day at Ambala and 82nd day at Pathankot.
Indefinite Fast
Col Pushpender Singh (Grenadiers) and Hav Major Singh (Sikh Light Infantry) have entered the 20th day of their indefinite fast while Hav Ashok Kumar Chauhan (Corps of Signals) entered the 18th day.
Now one veteran is on hunger strike in the hospital and eleven at Jantar Mantar which include father of a martyr.
SWR Keshav Singh
SWR Keshav Singh (Armed) was evacuated to R&R hospital.
Media Centre
Media Centre wishes to thank all the media reporters for their continued whole hearted support.
Events of the day
Yuva Brigade
Members of Yuva Brigade Bengaluru (Karnataka) visited Jantar Mantar to express solidarity and total support to the protest. Further, they handed over Album and papers of one lakh signatures supporting OROP to Gen Satbir Singh.
Nafisa Ali
Nafisa Ali along with her husband Col Sodhi continued to visit Jantar Mantar to express solidarity with the agitating veterans.
Courses
Officers of NDA and IMA Regular courses visited Jantar Mantar to express solidarity and total support to the ongoing agitation. They also contributed financially.
Soldiers Families
Children and families of veterans continued to visit the venue in great numbers to support the movement.
Breakfast and Lunch
Gp Capt SVS Gahlaut and Wg Cdr NS Jain sponsored breakfast.
Langar is being provided by Gurudwara Bangla Sahib continuously. The management is overwhelmingly thankful for their support.
