1. It has been noticed that a spurious e-mail is being circulated in the environment stating that AWHO is launching projects in numerous stations at cheaper rates, inviting applications by 20 Sep 15. The mail mentions that these projects are meant for personnel of Army, Defence, Para Military, Air Force, Navy, etc. The mail also has an attached file.
2. It is clarified that AWHO launches schemes only for Army personnel, ESM and their widows and not for Air Force, Naval, Para Military and other such categories. AWHO sends e-mails only from its authorized e-mail ID awho@awhosena.in.
3. Everyone is requested to ascertain the e mail ID of the sender before perusing such spurious mails and not open any attachment and mark it as spam. AWHO also does not have any tie ups with any other housing org/ society/ gp.
4. In view of increasing cyber attacks on military persons, it is recommended that all take note of the above guideline and educate their family members and colleagues.
