IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR EX-SERVICEMEN

Family Pension Eligibility

1. Un Married Daughter of Ex.Serviceman is Eligible for Family Pension after demise of Ex.Serviceman & His Wife Irrespective of their Age till the Marriage she is Eligible for Family Pension.

2. Divorced Daughter of Ex.Serviceman also Eligible for Family Pension (Subject to condition she should submit Financial Condition Report)

3.Childless widows even after re-marriage eligible for OPF.

4. Widow Daughter also Eligible for Family Pension (Subject to condition that she should submit Financial Condition Certificate from Revenue Authorities)

5. Disabled Children of Ex.Serviceman are also eligible for Family Pension...

For Disabled children.

a) Part-II Order is must.

b) you should submit the Disability Certificate from MH or Medical Board and endorsement of Family Pension should be done in the Concern Records through Sainik Welfare Office.

6.  Do not forget to convert your pension A/c immediately into Joint A/c (E or S) along with your wife.

7.  Please take care that family name and date of birth is notified correctly in PPO and in revenue records like aadhar, pan card etc. If there is any correction please rectify through your record office immediately.

8. Government of India is insisting for joint accounts because of the difficulties faced by widows. If everything is correct Bank will commence widow's pension in the same month itself.

9. Notify family pension in the PPO or any authorised letter from pension sanctioning authority is mandatory for commencing the widow pension. earlier only hand written PPOs were there. kindly notify family pension through your record office. Date of birth of the family and original pensioner should be notified by your record office or PSA.

Joint Bank Account

(a). Joint accounts are opened such that any one can take pension. either or survivor mode.

(b) it will be very easy for Bank for opening of family pension 

NOTE:

Some pensioners think that if we open joint account everything is finished without noting the name of family pensioner in the ppo Which is not correct.... without notifying the correct name of the spouse the Bank will not commence Family Pension (Even if joint Account is there in the Bank).

Please note above Points for easy to get Family Pension otherwise it is very difficult for widow to get the Family Pension.

DUAL FAMILY PENSION

Previously After retirement from Armed forces if Ex servicemen joined in state/central Government job then after he retired from that post he will get two Pensions ie one from Military side and second one is from Civil side as he is eligible for two pensions but if an Ex servicemen Expired wife (spouse) were eligible only one family pension i.e., Military pension or Civil Family pension either one only eligible....

in the year 2013 Government of India (MOD) has issued orders that the wife(spouse) also eligible two family Pensions and PCDA,Allahabad also issued circular No.504 the widow is eligible both the pensions i.e., Military pension as well as Civil pension with effect from 24th September, 2012.

OROP - 2018 will not Benefit Majors, JCOs / OR - Brig CS Vidyasagar (Rtd)

Dear Sir,

1. OROP – 2018 is to be implemented w.e.f. Jul 2019. From the past experience of OROP – 2013, the PCDA (Pensions) Allahabad will make a circular similar to Circular 555. A number of anomalies cropped up in OROP – 2013 and Justice L Narasimha Reddy, Chairman of Single Man Judicila Committee submitted his report on anomalies in OROP – 2013 to Min of Def on 26 Sep 2016. It lies buried in the Min of Def. The achievement of Min of Def from 26 Sep 2016 till date is the report is under consideration of Committee of Joint Secretaries from PMO, Min of Def and Min of Fin. May be each of them will be awarded Ph D in OROP by Delhi University for their new findings of OROP.

2. The rationale applied by Def Accts Dept is basically to deny benefit of OROP. They criterion applied by them is as under: -

(a) Pension of earlier retirees is same as Average pension of those who actually retired in calendar year 2013. The result : -

(a) There is no benefit of OROP to MNS Officers as none retired in the rank of Maj due to AVS Committee w.e.f. 18 Dec 2004 promoting all who put in commissioned service of 13 years.

(b) Pension of all Majors who retired prior to 2013 was fixed with same pension of lone Major with 22 years’ service. All Pre – 2013 Majors with service more than 22 were fixed pension of Rs 23,815 pm.

(c) Reservists were excluded from OROP as there was no reservist retired in 2013. Reservists are the ones who should have been given highest priority for OROP. The list of anomalies is too long.

(d) TSEWA projected 42 anomalies in OROP – 2013 to Justice L Narasimha Reddy when he visited AF Station, Hakimpet, Secunderabad on 19 Sep 2016.

(b) Pension of senior is fixed same as junior if senior did not retire in 2013.

(c) Pension of junior was reduced by 3% of senior if no junior was found to retire in 2013.

3. DAD will adopt the same criterion in OROP – 2018 unless another committee goes over the recommendation of committee of Joint Secretaries on OROP - 2013. It will take inordinate time to rectify all anomalies.

4. Modified Assured Career Progression w.e.f. Jan 2006 helped JCOs / OR to get higher pay. But Min of Def has not extended the benefit to Pre – 2006 JCOs / OR.. The result is none of the Post – 2006 Sepoys retire in the rank of Sepoy and Naik. Therefore in 2018 you will find Pre – 2006 Sepoys and Naiks will be excluded from benefit of OROP - 2018. So is Majors. Their pensions in all likelihood will be revised only in 8^th CPC i.e. 2026.

5. TSEWA is burdened with 30 cases filed / to be filed in AFT Delhi and other regional benches. In the interest of welfare of JCOs / OR, I suggest some officers should take a lead and file cases in all regional benches of AFTs and also principal bench in Delhi to fight for justice to Majors and JCOs / OR. Most of the AFTs are discouraging class action suits. Therefore, individual OAs need to be filed..

6. Few Pre – 2006 Sepoys and Naiks and their equivalents also should file cases in all regional benches and also in Principal bench Delhi for not availing benefit of OROP.

7. I have no faith in Min of Def to ever help faujis. It is veteran community only has to help themselves if they want justice. If you want to suffer in silence, choice then is yours. I have done my bit by enlightening you what injustice some of you are suffering. Rest is upto you take a call to follow my suggestion to approach AFTs or just enjoy your evening drink.

जवानांच्या हाती आता 'एके-203'; रशियासोबत करार

अमेठी ः उत्तर प्रदेशातील अमेठी येथील कलाश्‍निकोव्ह रायफल निर्मिती युनिटमध्ये तयार झालेल्या 'एके-203' रायफली आता आमच्या सैनिकांच्या हाती येणार असून, या माध्यमातून ते दहशतवादी आणि नक्षलवाद्यांशी दोन हात करू शकतील. बंदूक निर्मितीचा कारखाना ही अमेठीची नवी ओळख असेल, असे प्रतिपादन पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी आज येथे सभेत बोलताना केले. पंतप्रधानांच्या हस्ते या वेळी रायफल निर्मिती कारखान्याचा शुभारंभही झाला.

'एके-203' ही जगातील अत्याधुनिक बंदूक असून, भारत आणि रशियाच्या सहकार्याने उभारण्यात आलेल्या कोरवा दारूगोळा कारखान्यात ती तयार होणार आहे. रशियाचे अध्यक्ष ब्लादिमीर पुतीन यांच्या सहकार्यामुळे कमी वेळेत हा कारखाना उभा राहू शकला असे सांगत त्यांनी कॉंग्रेसचे अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी यांच्यावरही कठोर शब्दांत टीका केली. राहुल यांनी 2007 मध्ये या कारखान्याची पायाभरणी केली होती, तेव्हा त्यांनी येथील काम 2010 मध्ये सुरू होईल असे जाहीर केले होते. पण त्यांचे सरकार या कारखान्यामध्ये नेमके कोणत्या प्रकारची शस्त्रे निर्मिती होणार हे निश्‍चित करू शकले नाही.

काही मंडळी मते मिळाल्यानंतर लोकांना विसरून जातात, लोकांना गरिबीतच ठेवण्यात त्यांना रस असतो, कारण त्यांच्या प्रत्येक पिढीला "गरिबी हटाओ'ची घोषणा देता येते. आता भविष्यामध्ये अमेठी ही येथे येणाऱ्या नेते मंडळींसाठी नाही, तर विकासकामांसाठी ओळखली जाईल असेही त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले.

जम्मू काश्‍मीरमध्ये दोन दहशतवाद्यांचा खात्मा

श्रीनगर: जम्मू काश्‍मीरमध्ये कुपवाडा जिल्ह्यात झालेल्या चकमकीदरम्यान दोन दहशतवाद्यांचा खात्मा करण्यात आला. तब्बल 56 तास चाललेल्या चकमकीमध्ये सुरक्षा जवानांनी या दहशतवाद्यांना कंठस्नान घातले, असे अधिकाऱ्यांनी सांगितले.
उत्तर काश्‍मीरमधील कुपवाडा जिल्ह्यातल्या बाबागुंड भागात दहशतवादी असल्याची गोपनीय माहिती मिळाल्यानंतर सुरक्षा दलांनी या भागात शोधमोहिम सुरु केली होती.

शुक्रवारी सकाळी सुरु झालेल्या त्या शोधमोहिमेदरम्यानच ही चकमक सुरु झाली होती. हे दहशतवादी संबंधित असलेली संघटना आणि त्यांची ओळख पटवली जात आहे, असेही या अधिकाऱ्याने सांगितले. मात्र या दहशतवाद्यांसंदर्भात अधिक तपशील अधिकाऱ्यांनी दिला नाही.

या चकमकीदरम्यान 2 पोलिस आणि केंद्रीय राखीव पोलिस दलाचे दोघेजण शहिद झाले होते. यामध्ये 'सीआरपीएफ'च्या एका निरीक्षकाचाही समावेश होता. या चकमकीमध्ये एक नागरिकही मरण पावला होता. यासंदर्भातील अधिक तपशील उपलब्ध होणे बाकी आहे.

सीमेवर लढण्याची परवानगी द्या ! 75 वर्षीय माजी सैनिकाची पत्राद्वारे मागणी

1971च्या भारत पाक युद्धात होते सहभागी

कोल्हापूर: भारत-पाकिस्तानमध्ये काही दिवसांपासून सुरू असलेल्या तनावपूर्ण वातावरणामुळे आम्हाला इथे झोप लागत नाही. जगाच्या नकाशातून पाकिस्तानचे नाव मिटवले पाहिजे. जोपर्यंत त्यांना धडा शिकवणार नाही तोपर्यंत समाधान मिळणार नाही. त्यामुळे मला सीमेवर लढण्याची परवानगी द्या, अशा मागणीच्या उल्लेखाने पत्र लिहिले आहे 75 वर्षीय माजी सैनिकांचे ..!

होय हे खरे आहे. या 75 वर्षीय माजी सैनिकांचे नाव आहे गजानन दत्तात्रय पाटील. कागल तालुक्‍यातील यमगे गावचे ते रहिवासी. पुलवामा येथे झालेल्या दहशतवादी हल्ल्यानंतर संपूर्ण देशात एकच संतापाची लाट उसळली आहे. भारताने या भ्याड हल्ल्याचा बदला घेतला. पण, पाकिस्तानचा नामोनिशाणच जगाच्या नकाशातून मिटवला पाहिजे, अशा संतप्त भावना गजानन पाटील या माजी सैनिकाने लिहिलेल्या पत्रातून उमटल्या आहेत.

पाटील हे एवड्यावरच थांबले नाहीत तर आम्हाला सीमेवर लढण्याची परवानगी द्या, माझ्यासोबत कागल तालुक्‍यातील शेंदुर गावचे माजी सैनिक तुकाराम शेवाळे हे सुद्धा यायला तयार आहेत, अशी सुद्धा मागणी त्यांनी या पत्राद्वारे केली आहे. जिल्हा सैनिक कल्याण मंडळाकडे त्यांनी हे मागणीचे पत्र पाठवले आहे. विशेष म्हणजे या पत्रच्या शेवटी आम्ही आपल्या ऑर्डरची वाट पाहत बसलो आहोत, असाही उल्लेख केला आहे. या वयातसुद्धा त्यांचा पाकिस्तान विरोधातील त्वेष आणि राष्ट्रा प्रती असलेले प्रेम यातून प्रकट होते.
