POLICY ON SPECIAL ID CARD FOR PRESIDENT’S GALLANTRY AWARD WINNERS
A Special Identity Card is issued by Air HQ (Air Cmde PP) to President’s gallantry award winners. Holders of the special identity card are entitled the benefits/ facilities as admissible by GoI/ State Govts. This card is not transferable. On defacement, Special Identity Card can be reissued on submission of defaced Special Identity Card. In case of a loss, the Special Identity Card can be re-issued on submission of a copy of FIR. The following documents need to be submitted by the Veterans for issue of Gallantry Award Special Identity Card:-
(a) Personal application mentioning date of birth, name and date of award along with Gazette number.
(b) 02 Stamp size photographs in civil dress.
Further, the personal application is required to be forwarded to following address for verification of photograph and uniformity and onward submission to Air HQ (VB) for necessary issuance.
