IESL Welfare Activities
Ever since raising IESL has been vigorously pursuing activities in
consonance with the aims and objectives of the Founder Fathers. Apart
from the coordinated activities at the HQ level we have our State/UT
Leagues involved in a large number of such activities. Details of some
of these are as under:-
(a) Gujarat Ex-Services League- The League is engaged in number of welfare activities like Blood Donation, Dental Check, Medical Check and Blood Grouping Camps, Assistance To Widows and Deserving Wards of Ex-Servicemen by way of Scholarships. << More>>AIR VETERANS RALLY AT AIR FORCE AUDITORIUM SUBROTO PARK ON 07 SEP 2014
An Air veterans' Rally is being organised by DAV execlusively for
Ex-Air Warriors and their families at Air Force Auditorium Subroto park
New Delhi on 07 Sep 14. The Chief of the Air Staff has consented to
grace the occasion as the Chief Guest for the event. A large population
of the air veterans community and their families is expected to attend
the subject event.
The main aim of organising the event is to bring under one roof the
pension and welfare dealing agencies viz CGDA (AF),
PCDA(P),CDA(AF),JCDA(AF),DPDOs,Banks, IAFBA,AFGIS and Dte of AV to deal
with the issues and resolve the problems of pensioners and their next of
kin on the spot.
All veterans are cordially invited to participate in the above event.
COMMEMORATION OF 50 YEARS OF INDO-PAK WAR
The IAF is planning to hold country wide events/seminars to commemorate the 50th
year of 1965 Indo – Pak war. At these seminars, it is intended to
invite and felicitate air veterans who took an active part in the said
war. All those who have anecdotes about the war, may kindly forward a
detailed account of their war experience to Air Force Association Head
Office at email-afaheadoffice@gmail.com along with their full particulars.

Senior age and ailments are almost conjunct in existence. In our context, it can also be a time when movement is restricted, there is little help around, near and dear ones are not so physically near and a little niggle could actually be that or more. It is a time when help and medical advice can make a difference between an uneasy mind and a clear direction in which to move. It is in this context that AFA requested the medics amongst us to step forward to help the AFA family. We proposed a one hour slot in the morning/evening for telephonic consultancy to needy members who could ring up the individual doctor for guidance. A total of 12 member doctors responded.
