B) Is Taiwan protected by NATO?

E)  Why has Taiwan not claimed independence from China?

The government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) opposes Taiwanese independence since it believes that Taiwan and mainland China comprise two portions of a single country's territory.

F) Taiwan is not recognised as an independent country by much of the world nor even the United Nations. It undergoes extraordinary naming contortions just to participate in events and institutions like the Olympic Games and the World Trade Organization.

G) Although Taiwan's government claims it is an independent country officially called the "Republic of China", any country that wants diplomatic relations with mainland China must break official ties with Taipei.

This has resulted in Taiwan's diplomatic isolation from the international community.

Conclusion 

US knows Taiwan is a dynamic economy & base to sell Arms like Ukraine 

Taiwan is not a independent nation even with UNO

US is arming Taiwan like Ukraine

As Russia has kept NATO away by Attacking Ukraine

Similarly China sees Taiwan is not a NATO Ally & US advancing is to keep themselves at door of China.

Now US will have three fronts 

Ukraine. Russia

Taiwan. China

Middle East . .. Terrorists

US & European will not only loose their weapon but also return investment.

Will face recession , inflation, food shortage ,dollar will loose world trade currency, US will loose World cop tag.

Russia gas will make a winter hell for them Russia 

will win  economic war 

Chinas 80 % trade will make their living & industry on knees 

World will be full of pollution of explosives as black rain when Iraq Oil well were burning 🥵

CAS is neither able to see future war set up not able to project the issue correctly. Only harping like his predecessors to have control on Air Force.

What he projected 

A) Be operationally unwise to divide its “limited air assets” like just 32-33 fighter squadrons, six mid-air refuelling aircraft, three AWACS and two AEW&C aircraft among the different theatre commands.

What should have been projected 

A) Projection is limited should have mentioned as threat perception is on three fronts & aid in domestic front . The present resources ars adequately short & insufficient 

B) Further splitting the depleted source will make Air Force a sitting duck & will violate principle of war of concentration

C) Decentralisation will have not only command & control problem but overlap of operational decision .

E)The delay in air space due to dual role will be disaster & element of surprise will be list.

F)It will be easier for enemy to strike at will with further depletion of resources

Recommendations

A)Note my post 6 years back mentioned WW3 will start from space & cyber war 

B) Mentioned about theater commands but not this way as being done

C) Set up seprate Space command dovetailed with Air command . Induct ISRO & missile scientist in order to fight in space & cyber warfare.

D)Boost Air force with latest ac for long-term interdiction, Air fueling  , missiles for space & deep strike .

E)Make Air force responsible for air space on all fronts including sea.

F)Navy theater command should be under CNS & Land theater commands should be Army . Boost Army with tactical nuclear weapons, Armed heptrs & aircrafts for short term interdiction so that minimum reliance on aid from air power for short term interdiction.

G) Theater cdr should be thus have independent resources to complete the mission 

H) To over come shortages PSU should work on war footings to meet the requirements 

J) Shortage of money can be off set by getting money lying with UNO of peace mission done by Armed Forces.

INCOME TAX AS YEAR 2021-22

 INCOME TAX FOR FY-2021-22 AND FILING RETURNS FOR FY 2020-21 (CURRENT FILING BY DEC 2021)

  There is no change either in Income tax slabs or the Tax Rate to what has been for the previous year ie FY - 2020-21. As such, it is necessary to refresh the slabs and the rates of the previous year and the Regimes,  Old Vs the New Regime. We are pleased to include the same in this post. 

          Beginning in 2021 all ITRs will be filed on the new portal of the Income Tax Department which is fully live wef 20th Sep 2021 (it had problems from 7th Jun 21 onwards after the launch)

    The Income tax Department has eased the return filing by us.

  There is only one change in the Budget 2021 that Assesses above 75 Years of age who have no other income than their Pension and Bank Interests have been exempted to file their income tax returns subject to few conditions.

In their case the bank will work out the tax liability based on the pension and the Interest from FDs etc and deduct the tax as per slabs and submit the same to the IT Dept. The details of various terms and conditions  for Senior Citizen above 75 yrs of age to enjoy the exemption in filing ITRs are given at the end of this post.

  In addition to the above the dividends received on equity shares will be taxed as normal income. Few other changes in Resident new status and subscription to EPF do not effect us as such not being elaborated in this post.

  

  The senior assesses of 75 years and above  will have to file a declaration to the specified bank.  One who does not meet the conditions, will be required to file the return as hither to fore. 

It is estimated that a large number of pensioners will be benefitted who just have only one bank account in the specified bank.

   We hope that family pensioners will also be covered under this scheme. The doubt has arisen since Family Pension is considered under the IT Act as Income from other sources. 

   In view of the above we are of the opinion that we as Veterans will need to file our returns either under the old regime or the new regime as per the most beneficial option to be arrived at as stated in the Worked Out Example in the succeeding paragraphs.

 Government announces 'Agnipath' recruitment scheme for armed forces; unveils radical changes

Scheme will see the induction of the soldiers initially for a period of four years

India unveiled a new scheme called "Agnipath" on Tuesday for the recruitment of soldiers in the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, largely on a short-term contractual basis, with an aim to cut the ballooning salary and pensions bill.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced the new scheme at a media briefing, shortly after the Cabinet Committee on Security approved it. "The Agnipath recruitment scheme is a transformative initiative that will provide a youthful profile to the armed forces," Singh said.

The revolutionary changes in the recruitment process will see the induction of the soldiers initially for a period of four years and some of them would be retained. "Under the Agnipath scheme, Indian youngsters will be provided an opportunity to serve in the armed forces as 'Agniveer'," the defence minister said.

Navy chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said the scheme will ensure a wider talent pool for recruitment in the armed forces, adding that women will also be inducted into armed forces under it.

Army chief General Manoj Pande said the scheme aims to bring a paradigm shift in recruitment in the armed forces. It will help ensure optimum balance between youth and experience in the Army, he added.

General Pande said the Army's operational capability will be fully maintained during the initial implementation stage of the scheme.

The "Agnipath" scheme, earlier christened as "Tour of Duty", was launched in the presence of the chiefs of the three services.

The new scheme was announced after extensive deliberations on it over the last two years. The soldiers to be recruited under the scheme will be called "Agniveer".

Currently, the Army recruits young people under the short service commission for an initial tenure of 10 years, which is extendable up to 14 years.

The scheme is aimed at slashing the salary and pension bills of the three services, which have been increasing rapidly. The defence budget of Rs 5,25,166 crore for 2022-23 included Rs 1,19,696 crore for defence pensions.

The allocation for revenue expenditure was Rs 2,33,000 crore. The revenue expenditure includes the expenses on payment of salaries and maintenance of establishments.
