"Iss Se Kya Hoga?" - Wg Cdr Dinesh Bharat

A reader has posed this question in the context of the award of the Presidential standard to our elite flying formations recently. 

But this question is not limited only to this subject. 

People have been asking the same thing when the Veterans started agitating against all the injustices done to the Armed Forces in the form of reduced status, reduced pay and allowances, abolished rights which are otherwise guaranteed under the constitution, disrespect to the uniform when all and sundry have started wearing this uniform especially the police who with just ten years of service are wearing the uniform of a General, where it takes us 30 years to get that on our shoulders, or to the latest, where we

will have to henceforth contribute for our future entitlements of pensions. 

This "Iss se kya hoga?" can also be posed to our worthies who are prompt in labelling any squeak from a Veteran, as 'un-soldierly'. (The serving are not allowed even that.)

But, please do tell us, what do you do when 'Indian Nationals?' in Kashmir valley display the flags of the ISIS? Why don't you ever get stirred when the politicians make statements that the claim of India over the POK is superfluous; when a politician causes a loss of thousands of crores because he wants reservations for his own clan; Why does nobody pose any question when the convicted and the corrupt are allowed to fight & win the elections; why always must the 'sperm politicians' be our rulers; why must we be subjected to salute the worthies who are not willing to respect any of our Service traditions; why must we feel pride in defending this nation which has been appropriated by the political and the administrative class as their personal fiefdom? Why does the tolerance brigade not speak a word in favour of the soldiers very well knowing that they are safe only because the soldiers are keeping them safe from the criminal hordes across the borders?

They know that it is the soldier & his commitment which is keeping this country from turning into another hunting ground by the jihadists.

Actually, the Veterans, who were the loyal soldiers just yesterday, never ever asked this question-'Iss se kya hoga' because we had full faith in our own Service that our interests were being adequately taken care off. But now a sense of despondency is setting in where we are really wondering " Iss se kya Hoga" kyonki, we are realising that too many things that have happened are wrong and the advantage is only to the enemies of this nation.

Abb aap bataiye, agar hamara manobal kamzor, to desh ka kya hoga?
